Hi everyone, my name is Mackenzie Cahl! I am a Fashion Merchandising major at Mercyhurst University. I am currently a sophomore, and I am originally from Syracuse, New York.
As of today (March 14th) I am officially 20 years old! So obviously I know what you're thinking, and yes-- I am a Pisces-- the most whimsical and intuitive of all the zodiac signs. Some more information about me is that I have a cat named Chalupa, and he is the light of my life. I'm an only child, and I enjoy playing golf, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family. Also, I am a huge Harry girl, whether it is Harry Styles, Harry Potter, or Prince Harry-- I love them all. I am heavily involved in extracurricular activities such as the fashion magazine, STATEMENT, which I am the co-editor of, and I am also the Secretary and Treasurer of the Fashion Council. Additionally, I love to travel. I have flown over the Grand Canyon in a ten-passenger plane, explored Sedona in a pink jeep, driven over the Golden Gate Bridge, and gone on a tour of Alcatraz. My West Coast adventures are some of the most exciting things I've experienced so far, but I have a feeling that this trip will be an experience unlike any of those.

I have decided to take the FSAT to the UK and Ireland for many reasons. Since I was young I have always considered myself an Anglophile. When I was younger I had a United Kingdom-themed room with Union Jack decorations wall to wall. Also, in elementary school, we had a new student from England named Peter, and I chased him around the playground to hear his accent. Obviously, I have an unhealthy obsession, so going to the UK has been my number one goal in life since I can remember. Some things I am most excited about for the trip would be visiting anywhere Harry Potter related. Additionally, I am super excited about visiting Scotland as I have heard that it is absolutely stunning. Specifically, I am looking forward to seeing Mary Queen of Scots castle. This trip will be my first time outside of the United States and I am absolutely ecstatic about it!
